Introducing NLP –

NLP is described as “The Study of the Structure of Subjective Experience”…  but what on earth does that mean?

Simplistically – “learning about how we each make sense of the world and how the way we make sense of the world shows up in our behaviour”.

I’ve studied (and professionally practised) NLP since 2002 and been training NLP Practitioners since 2007. I’m also the Regional Ambassador for ANLP for Cornwall and their Special envoy for Environment and Ocean, regularly writing for Rapport Magazine.

Why do I tell you this?  I guess because it can reassure you I have a pretty embedded NLP skillset, which allows me to apply it in a “non clunky” way when coaching or training… That is to say – I don’t necessarily need to label what I am doing as NLP if we are exploring and learning together.

… AND this is my aim for ALL who train in NLP with me… because the whole point is that it should HELP… not get in the way of communicating.

NLP explores how we navigate in the world.  It helps us make sense of the variety and complexity of info we encounter moment to moment.  NLP training enables us to have and apply communication tools to respond with grace (or not depending on our situation and how intentional we are being).

Over the past few years I have noticed a shift in how and what people want to learn.  With an ethos of flexibility I am now structuring my NLP Courses differently.  In addition to the introductory Online NLP Essentials Day offered for group business bookings and the NLP Master Practitioner (advanced NLP training), I now have 3 different in-person “open NLP programs” available:

The first is the NLP Diploma and sometimes this is enough of a toe in the water providing a range of practical change techniques.  Some people pair it with an mBIT Coach Program or Blue Health Coach Program.

The next is the NLP Coach Program this consists of the Diploma plus module 2.  In module 2 there is emphasis upon strategy and meta model language patterns, we also dive deeper into resolving triggers and navigating internal values conflicts.  The skills in this module lend themselves to Coaching and Consultancy.

The final is the NLP Practitioner which is a combination of all three modules.  This module can only be completed following module 1 and 2.  Here we move into the realms of therapeutics learning to apply hypnotic language patterns, re-imprinting beliefs and enacting phobia resolution together with more advanced behavioural modelling.

NLP Essentials (an Intro to NLP)

Join me for Real Time / Virtual Space NLP Training – An Introduction to NLP.  This online workshop provides some NLP Essentials that everyone can apply in their day to day lives.  We explore:

  • What is NLP and how is it relevant to all of us?
  • How can we awaken our senses for improved awareness of ourselves and others?
  • What are some of the ways we and others experience the world around us?
  • What are some common language pitfalls that can drastically impact our mood and behaviour?
  • How can we each improve the way we manage our energy and emotions?
  • What are the ways we can motivate ourselves towards goals that really matter?

NLP Diploma Training

This 2 day intensive NLP Diploma Training introduces a number of NLP principles and offers an insight into some of the most powerful NLP skills and processes. Join this program to:

  • Develop your ability to practically apply some advanced communication skills
  • Take more control of your life and guide your decision making in the future.

The course is a standalone programme – certified and recognised internationally through the Association for NLP (ANLP), it is also the first module of the NLP Coach program and the fully accredited NLP Practitioner course for those who want to take their learning further.

The 20 training hours are a combination of workshop attendance and self directed study through some pre course preparation and completion of a post course assignment.

NLP Coach Training

This program consists of 6 training days (completion of the NLP Diploma followed by a 4 day NLP Coach module).  There are 60 hours of study – a mix of course attendance hours, plus pre and post course activities.  For those who are certified ICF Coaches, this course offers CPD (continued professional development) and a number of these hours can be recorded as ICF CCEUs – a mix of “research and development” and “coach supervision”… I can advise further on this.

NLP Practitioner Training

This full syllabus program totals 10 training days. Completion of the 2 day NLP Diploma and the 4 day NLP Coach program are the pre requisites to complete the final 4 day module.

As an NLP Practitioner you are fully equioed with the ability to professionally apply your NLP skills within a broad spectrum of areas including – Business, Coaching, HR, Sports and within a Therapeutic context.

This is not a fast-track approach and the program is highly experiential, incorporating observation, coaching and feedback.  Working with a small training group ensures your NLP Practitioner certification is of a standard that enables you to confidently and credibly represent the field as an NLP professional.

This certified NLP Practitioner course is fully accredited via the Association for NLP (ANLP) and training is run on the North Coast of Cornwall.  Advocating creative approaches to learning we work outside in nature where possible.

All attendees receive a detailed course manual to support their further long term development and application of the NLP skills and the 100 hour programme is completed through workshop attendance and project / assignment work…. There is a mid-programme online conference call to support development between module two and three.

NLP Master Practitioner Training (Advanced NLP Training)

The NLP Master Practitioner course is a 10 day advanced NLP skills programme delivered in two 5 day modules.  Open to certified NLP Practitioners who have successfully completed a full syllabus NLP Practitioner programme and are ready to explore NLP at this level.  As with our NLP Practitioner course, this NLP Master Practitioner course runs in Cornwall.
