Coherent and Wise Leadership
5th November, 2014
Authentic Leadership is a term which has been around a long time now within the world of L+D.
It’s great to acknowledge that Leadership is about being, not only knowing & doing and that there is a sense of deeper being involved.
Self Authoring extends this intent in order to recognise the innate wisdom within the space that you hold as an individual and Leader moment to moment, welcoming growth.
Appreciative, Aware and Emergent.
Less “who am I as a Leader”, more “as a Leader, how am I embodying and expressing who I am at this very instance today.”
The knowledge that tomorrow is another page can offer perspective and a sense of transience. That said today’s page is as important as any other.
Your book doesn’t stand on a shelf on its own, your pages at any moment overlap with others and you feature in numerous stories written by wise individuals. The page you are writing right now is the one where your greatest influence lies.
Recognition of ourselves as part of a wider collection of poetry, prose, myths and legends is the point at which we really meet and connect with our experiences.
Sound a bit “woowoo?”… Well it depends, in terms of you, your life and your well-being… Do you really want to “own it”? If so you may like to consider how wisely you are acting right now, are you at your most inquisitive and resourceful, accepting and appreciative, present and enjoying each interaction and proactively enabling others to express themselves fully?
mBraining (multiple braining) is an Applied Positive Psychology spanning neuroscience & ancient wisdom. These mBIT (multiple brain integration techniques) coaching processes encourage you to notice and align your highest expressions of who you really are and bring them into any situation… And yes that includes into the Leadership role, why wouldn’t you want to bring your full self?
With clarity to observe and listen you will have freedom to act with deeper wisdom.
Pause.
Breathe.
Write, Talk, Act creatively, courageously and compassionately as only you can!
